Happy Tuesday to all!
Let’s get right to it. Today I am grateful for;
1. Conversations. There is extreme benefit in talking with others. It helps solve problems and opens up doors that were previously closed. Conversations are healthy for all parties. Too often we allow things to stew in our own heads causing all kinds of insecurities, bad assumptions and other negative feelings to muster. A conversation is an easy way to at least start the process of fixing the issue.
I keep things to myself way too much and often feel very alone even though I am surrounded by people that love me. I will be trying to open up more frequently and discussing everything I can with as many people as I can.
2. Good friends and family. I needed help moving some furniture yesterday. My brother and our friend were right there to help. People like them are so good to have around. Later that night my brother and I went out for a beer and further enjoyed time together. We saw another one of our friends and talk with him for a while. This friend is the kind of guy who always asks how my family is. There is nothing that makes a person feel better than talking about his family and loved ones. Since I started hanging out with him, about 2 or 3 years ago, I try to make it a point and ask people about their family every chance I get.
Think about the people that ask you about your family. How does that make you feel? Can you ask other about their families more often?
3. 24 Hours in a Day. There are 24 hours in a day. What are you doing to make the most of them? I am personally mishandling those hours. And I’m not sure how to fix it. But I am grateful for the fact that they are there. And that the opportunity to use them is also there.
I am going to try and use the hours in a more efficient way to make myself a better person. For myself and those around me.
